The CRM tool – Not exciting, but essential
This presentation will help you quickly grasp what CRM is and how to roll it out. It’s got the very basics to help get you started, regardless of which industry or team you’re in.
What is a CRM software?
CRM stands for Customer Relationship Management (software). While it’s an abused acronym in the business world, this is what we’re talking about:
- A system used to manage customer-related information, even if not produced within the CRM itself; some examples include
- Contacts at a company
- Interactions
- Quotations / Opportunities
- Orders
- Invoices
- A tool used by whoever interacts with a customer, in any way, e.g.
- Marketing
- Business Development
- Sales
- After-sales
- Service/Maintenance
- Supply Chain
Different tools use different terminology (e.g. Opportunities vs Deals, Companies vs Accounts), however this won’t affect the roll-out process itself.
This CRM presentation is for you if:
- You are to roll-out or change a company CRM, or
- Need to decide whether to pursue a CRM project alone or with a partner, or
- Are part of a company changing CRM, or
- Want to understand what needs to be addressed when introducing a big change in the organisation
