My name is Marco Zanzotera.

Marco Zanzotera

I’m a happy individual, Industrial Engineer by education, sport nerd (and social nerd) by passion, zealous and enthusiastic worker by attitude.

I currently live in Berlin, Germany and have a beautiful family to share this experience with. I work as a Director at Enpal, a renewable energy company that aims at transforming the way people think, use and manage energy in their homes. I lead the team responsible for the Italian logistics, building effective solutions to serve our clients, thus enabling our ambitious yet wonferful mission. It’s such a rewarding job, with astoundingly talented people and there is never a dull moment.

Before Enpal I worked in Wayfair – leading the teams responsible for the operations in the mediterranean countries -, helped launching Visaya, a startup in the ecommerce space with two other colleagues, growing it from a team of three (the three of us, literally) to almost 20 until its acquisition, worked in change management projects and analyst roles, as well as in management consulting.

I went from rolling out a global CRM in the Australian branches of a multinational company to coding small algorithms to (successfully – and proudly) reactivate sales of stagnating customers in smaller startups – while, really, I was initially hired as the Warehouse helper. I met some incredible professionals, and whilst it’s hard to keep in touch with everybody regularly, I like to think I’m still “in contact” with them and like to drop the occasional line every now and then.

It’s been an incredible journey so far and I’m excited about everything that is happening out there and that is yet to come!

Personally, I believe we shouldn’t take ourselves too seriously, and I approach everything I do with a positive attitude and a smile on my face. I thrive when I get to meet and work with others; I believe in the power of people to do anything – especially when working together.

I have a strategic mindset, but what I enjoy the most is to find solutions and implement them. I love to work with the most diverse people and “talk business”, so get in touch if you’re up for chat or need help with something. Meanwhile, I hope that what I’m publishing here could be of use for some of the passers-by.
